The Spring U-Church series will conclude on Friday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Paul Dana Walker Arena. The concert is taking place in conjunction with the university’s preview weekend, Lee Day, and it will feature the Nashville-based worship band, The Belonging Co, and as an opening-act, magician Justin Flom.
The Belonging Co was created by Henry and Alex Seeley, the founders of the Belonging Church in Nashville, Tennessee. The worship collective released an album in September 2017, titled “All the Earth.” It includes songs such as “Peace Be Still,” “Isn’t He,” and “Zeal,” and features artists such as Meredith Andrews, Cody Carnes, Lauren Daigle, Kari Jobe, and Sarah Reeves.
Flom, who performed at U-Church in 2017, differentiates himself from other magicians by using everyday items for the majority of his illusions. He was recently featured on the hit CBS show, “The World’s Best,” and has performed on various other television programs, including “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “TODAY,” and “Rachael Ray.”
U-Church is a free, non-ticketed event open to students, alumni, and the community. Seating is first come, first served. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
